Project Manager – South Carolina

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating assigned projects.  This position is key in developing and maintaining relationships with customers as well as developing sales opportunities with new clients.   A Project Manager is responsible for developing sales for the company and making sure that his/her projects remain profitable.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Will indirectly supervise Field Crews working on the Project Managers job(s).  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

TRAVEL

The employee may travel extensively up to 50% when the job site is not close to the main office or when responsible for activities at two or more sites. Most travel is limited to travel up to 25% of the time.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 50+ hours or work a week.  Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.  The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.   The noise level in the work environment will vary from low to high. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hand to finger, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls.  The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, bend, talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to reach above shoulders, stoop, kneel, or crouch; The employee must be able to maneuver on uneven surfaces when visiting job sites.
