During the mid-April CastExpo, the largest metal casting trade show in North America, foundry industry representatives portrayed a general sense of optimism for the future. Attendees were excited about increasing production and reducing downtime with the latest in foundry equipment and technology that was showcased during the event. We also learned that automotive castings are driving the foundry industry while heavy truck and construction equipment castings are in low demand.
