  RSS Feeds

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows you to identify content from a website that’s important to you and have it delivered automatically without visiting the site.

You’ll see orange ‘RSS’ or ‘XML’ links on many news sites like MSNBC.com, or CNN.com that allow you to have news content delivered to you.

We’re offering the service to you because many of our customers are interested in what is new in construction news and building trends.

How do I start using RSS feeds?

The first thing you need is software called an RSS news reader. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications – many of which are free. All allow you to display and subscribe to the RSS feeds you want, from any sites that offer RSS service.

Once you have chosen a news reader, all you have to do is to decide what content you want. The link to our RSS feed and other RSS feeds is in the gray box on the left hand side of this page.

You can subscribe to the feeds in various ways depending on the reader you choose. It’s an easy process which is usually completed by dragging the URL of the RSS feed into your news reader or by cutting and pasting the same URL into a new feed in your reader.

Some browsers, including Firefox, Opera and Safari, have functionality which automatically picks up RSS feeds for you. For more details on these, please check their websites.

How do I get a News Reader?

There is a range of different news readers available and new versions are appearing all the time. Different news readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to take this into account when you make your choice. We have supplied a small list of popular RSS news readers on the left and there are many more available.
